The Aviary is the newest addition to the Melbourne studio landscape. Perched on the first floor in downtown Abbotsford, The Aviary is a fully equipped 24 channel recording studio with the 1978 MCI 428B console at it's heart. Hand crafted by studio owner/in-house engineer/producer, Fraser Montgomery, The Aviary is a rare inner-city recording experience, with abundant natural light and walls decked with recycled timber. The layout consists of a large tracking room, large vocal/dead room, 2 isolation cupboards and a comfortable control room with views over Abbotsford and plenty of arvo sun. The studio is a stones throw from Victoria Street Station, The Yarra Hotel, Cafe's and Bars, and Victoria Streets selection of Pho. Most of all, the rooms sound and feel great.
