Shotkickers in Thornbury is celebrating its first birthday on the 21st of Jan so a bunch of bands that have played over the past year are helping to kick of celebrations! The Exiles, Dane Blacklock, Turtle Skull, Freya Josephine Hollick, and Neon Goblin. Get down and enjoy the party!

The Old Bar are hosting a benefit gig on Jan 26th to raise money for Victorian Aboriginal Health Services. Featuring Ben Mastwyck, Dan Brodie, Baby Velvet, Charlotte Le Lievre, Great Falls, and Patrick Wilson. Get along to raise money for a much needed charity.

The Retreat will be hosting a mini festival ‘Just Another Festival‘ on the 4th of Feb with a bunch of local and interstate bands to smash the band room apart!

Chimpanzee, Eggy, Guy Blackman, Lunar Dirt (QLD) Native Cats (TAS). The Retreat are always big supporters of our local scene and get along to enjoy the cream of local bands.

St Kilda’s George Lane will be hosting a killer gig where a bunch of bands will be competing to see who is the ultimate Iggy Pop impersonator! The winner will get to perform I Want To Be Your Dog with the house band. Sounds like heaps of fun! Saturday, Jan 28th.

Local rock n roll misfits, The Stripp will be launching their debut album Ain’t No Crime To Rock N Roll, at the Gem on Jan 28th. Support coming from Blowers and Persecution Blues. Will the tiny Gem Bar be able to contain this rock n roll explosion? Get down and see! Make sure you’re wearing your kevlar vest to protect you from the rock n roll shrapnel that will be firing off left, right and center.
