This week there are some raging gigs happening that are definitely worth your time and hard earned dollars. All the way from Kuwait, Fatima Al Qadiri play Howler on Friday 10 June for her debut Australian show with support from Corin and Air Max 97’.

Wonderdore Island are celebrating their 4th birthday with a huge line up featuring Groin, Jaala, Corin, Sampa the Great and Clever Austin. The Gasometer on Thursday 9 June is the place to be to see all the action unfold.

Speaking of record labels celebrating their birthdays - Remote Control Records are celebrating their 15th birthday at The Shadow Electric on Sunday 12 June. The lineup so far is huge and they haven’t even announced everyone yet! Head down from 2pm to catch the likes of Dorsal Fins, Lost Animal, Teeth & Tongue and Milwaukee Banks. With a public holiday the next day there’s no excuse not to go.

Melbourne is never short of amazing performers recording and playing music, with some seriously great local talent just announcing some exciting gigs. Banoffee is playing a super intimate show at Roxanne Parlour on Friday 1 Julyoff the back of her new single 'I'm Not Sorry'.

Up and comers Saatsuma are also launching their single 'Floating' at The Toff in Town on Saturday 9 July

Meanwhile, Vera Blue’s domination continues. Having just played three sold out shows at Shebeen she now can proudly claim that she has sold out Howler in under 24 hours. A second show has just been announced Saturday 3 September, don’t sleep on tickets!
