On Tuesday the 19th of December, the Australian Music Vault opens its doors to the public at the Arts Centre. The Victorian Government has invested $8.3 million for it's creation. It has five patrons, Michael Guninski, Ian "Molly" Meldrum, Kylie Minogue, Archie Roach and Tina Arena.
Items on display include Rowland S Howard's famous Fender Jaguar, AC/DC's Angus Young's blue schoolboy uniform, Peter Allen's maracas (not an euphemism), Chrissy Amphlett's dress and mic stand, Ed Kuepper's guitar, X's Cathy Green's drumsticks, Molly Meldrum's hat, Kylie Minogue's hotpants, Helen Reddy's Grammy Award and much more.
The Music Vault will also showcase the 2017 ARIA Hall Of Fame inductee, Daryl Braithwaite of Sherbet fame. HOWZAT!
