Sydney’s SIMON KINNY-LEWIS BAND launch their brand new album ‘Bad Whiskey’ at The Spotted Mallard, Brunswick on Saturday 29th December with special guests The Kevin Buckingham Band plus Tim Hulsman.
This band’s own original brand of contemporary blues and rock has created a loyal fan-base of enthusiasts around the globe enabling them to hook up with highly regarded international musicians such as Chris Cain, Anton Davidyants, Nate Ginsberg (Herbie Hancock’s Monster Band) Christian Howes, Dwayne Pate (Robben Ford Band), Simeon Cain (Henry Rollins) and more.
The band’s impressive songwriting, soulful vocals, and world-class musicianship is all brought to the fore on this fabulous new release. The album was recorded by Sean Rudd at The Vault Studios in Sydney with Simon - guitar and vocals, Tony Boyd - drums, Rob Ewan - bass, and Shannon Stitt - keys, plus a highly valued contribution from slide guitarist Brett Garsed (John Farnham Band). With final mixing and mastering done by Simon Cotsworth (Seal, Santana, George Benson), ‘Bad Whiskey’ is destined to have an impact on audiences far and wide, as did the previous album ‘Catfish’ which reached the number 1 position on the Australian Blues and Roots Charts.
