Melbourne Music Week with Underground Lovers and Tyrannamen

Melbourne Music Week is a nine day celebration of our local music scene that has showcase performance from some of our most popular bands, the two day industry event Face The Music and The Age Music Victoria Awards.

Two of my favourite bands performed at Miscellanea at the Melbourne Town Hall: Underground Lovers and Tyrannamen. Perched high above the main stage, Matthew Sigley added some extra cadence to the dream pop songs of the Underground Lovers. It was so bloody good that Melbourne's foremost rock chef, Julian Wu started dancing up front.

If you went downstairs to the steamy Swanston Room, Tyrannamen were cutting the rug with some of the most fun Aussie tunes released in past year. The band's exciting new songs are sounding great, so I can't wait to hear their next release, as their self-titled debut album remains one of my most played Australian releases of recent times.
