Gigs I wouldn't miss with The Avenue

The Avenue mash old school 80s elctro pop with viceral angular guitar punk to give an anthemic banger in new single suburbs.cities.towns. Just try not dancing to this! It's like 2007 indie nightclubs never went away!

Kyle from the band give us some insight into the bands diverse musical tastes, and influences in their top gig recommednations.

Bryan Ferry 26th Feb @ Margaret Court Arena

Having the opportunity to experience a performance from the likes of Bryan Ferry, whose had such an expansive musical influence and can still put on a world class show in 2019 would just be unbelievably incredible.

Bring Me The Horizon 13th April @ Rod Laver Arena

I like the new direction these guys have been going and their new live sets seem cool. I can’t help but hope they throw in a couple older songs, but either way this show will go off. They’ll make the crowd fookin’ rave.

Ball Park Music 14th June @ Pier Bandroom

This band has been one of my favourite Australian acts since I first ever heard them. Crazily tight live band, their onstage presence and songs are just so cool and fun. Getting involved with some of those sing along choruses is something almost anyone could enjoy, their gigs offer zero dull moments.

Fleetwood Mac 9th September @ Rod Laver Arena

Fleetwood Mac was some of the first music I’d ever listened to in my life and I’ve always listened to them with undoubtedly deserved high regard but I’ve never seen them live. Experiencing a live set of theirs firsthand is up there on the bucket list, it would just be amazing.

Kiss 22nd November @ Rod Laver Arena

They’re on their last tour ever, the fact that it might be the last time to see a crazy over the top mad rock and roll show from Kiss in Melbourne is - albeit bittersweetly - a pretty damn good incentive.
