The Caribbean Asssociation of Victoria’s CaribVic Steelband have combined forces with Riff Raff Radical Marching Band and local brass musicians Olugbade Okunade (trumpet), Lauren Mullarvey (saxophone), Charlie Woods (trumpet) and Jayden Scarlett (trombone) to present irresistible rhythms and glorious sounds at this years Darebin Music Feast.
CaribVic Steelband are passionate about bringing Caribbean culture to Australia. Performances include the Cricket World Cup Opening Ceremony, PANZfest in Brisbane and Cairns and Hamer Hall with Boite Millennium Chorus.
Riff Raff Radical Marching Band are a bunch of Darebin based activists who bring a bit of musical love and rage to rallies, protests, fundraisers and community events
Olugbade Okunade previous trumpeter of Fela Kuti’s Egypt 80 band, and current owner and frontman of Alárìíyá.
Lauren Mallarvey and Charlie Woods are previous students of VCA, performing regularly in and around Melbourne.
