In 1975 Joe formed Jo Jo Zep and The Falcons, a band who swung from R’n’B to reggae, power pop and ska, and over a period of 8 years Jo Jo Zep and The Falcons toured the country relentlessly to became one of Australia’s finest live outfits. In the early ‘80s Camilleri and friends started up a new band, The Black Sorrows, who have released 18 albums and sold over two million albums world-wide, and continue to be one of Australia’s most successful touring bands.
Recently named a "living legend” by Rolling Stone (Jan 2017), Joe Camilleri continues to thrill audiences with the passionate live performances and the artistry that he brings to every song he touches. There have been multi-platinum albums and sales of over two million records worldwide.
