Secret Sounds and Handsome Tours present James Vincent McMorrow Monday 25 September
PRESALE 10AM WED 9 AUG GENERAL SALE 9AM THU 10 AUG
Two sets back-to-back: TRUE CARE in full and a collection of back catalogue tunes
Having only just played to rapturous audiences across the country at the start of this year, today James Vincent McMorrow proves his bond with his Australian fans is one of his strongest across the globe, with the announcement that he’ll once again be returning to Australian shores in September.
This time around he’ll be bringing the stunning songs from his latest album, True Care (out now via Dew Process), for the very first time.
McMorrow played sold out major theatres across Australia in March earlier this year, including the Sydney Opera House and two nights at Melbourne’s Recital Centre.
He went on release True Care with little warning in May, with the intenion of breaking the traditional music industry cycle and to capitalise on his creative force and energy. The 15-track album, featuring the stunning first single and title track ‘True Care’, arrived less than a year after the release of McMorrow’s critically acclaimed We Move album, which he delivered only last September.
The September tour will see Mcmorrow play two club dates across September, including shows in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, as well as one show in Auckland. His Brisbane and Auckland shows will be in support of UK trio, London Grammar.
For the Melbourne and Sydney shows James will play two sets with no support – the first set will be around 45 minutes and will be James and band playing True Care from start to finish. After an intermission he’ll then be performing a second set of around 75 minutes of older songs, including stand outs from We Move.
