Gordon Koang and friends live at Loop

Monday 17 Sep, 2018

This pay-as-you-feel event is in support of asylum seekers and refugees, and all main performers are asylum seekers or refugees. Pay-as-you-feel!

Accompanied by Paul Biel, Gordon Koang uses his musical genius to foster peace and harmony for the World at large. Inspired and influenced by traditional South Sudanese rhythms, Koang creates his own compositions weaving an underlying message that people should 'love one another' and 'strive for peace'.

This concert is part of Colourful Collective's fundraising campaign to establish Koang as a Thom teacher and musician in the broader Melbourne community, and to assist Biel in his role as carer and accompanist.

Mani, Iranian musician and asylum seeker opens the night!
