Already announced for Splendour In The Grass 2017, charismatic songstress BANKS announces three special sideshows including the Forum Theatre on July 25 & 26.
From teaching herself piano aged 15 to cope with her parents divorce, to being named by Hypemachine as the world’s most blogged about artist in 2014, Jillian Banks ascent to indie-pop queen was steep.
Her first EP ‘London’ released in 2013 promptly landed her a support slot on the Weeknd tour. The buzz continued with appearances on BBC’s prestigious Sound of 2014 guide and nearly every ‘One To Watch’ list since. In 2015 Banks was a highlight of St Jerome’s Laneway Festival and her Australian headline shows were likened to a religious experience.
