Hot Gigs and Hot Tips - 18May 2016

As always Melbourne is leaving us spoilt for choice for gigs. On Friday 20 May Aus rock heavyweights The Drones will be playing the biggest show of their ‘Feelin Kinda Free’ tour at 170 Russell. Saturday brings hip hop master REMI to Howler with Man Made Mountain and MzRizk, while over at the Northcote Social Club Gold Class and Mere Women launch their split 7” at the Northcote Social Club on Saturday 21 May.

As for shows that have just been announced, Aarght Death will be opening Shadow Electric’s ‘Label of Love’ series with the huge lineup of Power, Nun, Ausmuteants, Whipper, Terry and Tommy T and the Classical Mishaps.

Meanwhile, the incredible Gabriella Cohen plays the Northcote Social Club on her debut national tour on Saturday 17 June, launching her album ‘Full Closure and No Details’. Speaking of album launches, Paul Dempsey plays The Corner Hotel on Friday 2 September with very special guest Olympia. Shows not to be missed so get in quick!
